JS triumphs in Stock Market Challenge

Brighter Financial Futures (dba PennCFL) announced that Jersey Shore Area High School was a winner in a state Woodlands Bank Stock Market Challenge competition under the leadership of Tim Dershem, according to a press release. Competitions are held in classrooms county- and state-wide and Jersey Shore finished in first place for Lycoming County and Top 10 in the state-wide competition, the press release said. The program is sponsored by Woodlands Bank, which is a local bank with headquarters in Williamsport.

SAYRE — BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 and Sayre Area School District recently announced a collaborative three-year National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) grant in the amount of $83,102.
