Holiday ”wars’: Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center nursing units compete for Best Decorated title

Nursing units for Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center have been at war -- the weapons of choice: shining lights, Santa hats and a touch of holiday magic. The spoils: the coveted title of Best Decorated. From creative wall decorations and multiple Christmas trees to a large gingerbread house, the decorations have brought joy and the spirit of the holidays to the residents. Judges for the contest were residents, the board president and a facility vendor. Units 200 and 700, of Russell Rehab, and unit 400, of Sunrise Terrace, wound up in a three-way tie. A tie-breaker determined unit 200, Russell Rehab, to be the winner.
