TOWANDA -- Guthrie was recently recognized by The Children's House/Child Advocacy Center (CHCAC) of Bradford County for its continued support of the center's mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced abuse.
Pennsylvania State Representative Tina Pickett, Bradford County commissioners, representatives from Guthrie, CHCAC, and other community organizations gathered at the Bradford County Courthouse in Towanda to plant 182 blue pinwheels, representative of the 182 children who received support from the center in 2022, according to a press release.
Each April, CHCAC selects a community partner to acknowledge for their hard work and dedication within the community in ensuring that children grow up to be happy and healthy, the release said. This year, that honoree was Guthrie.
