Baby, it’s cold outside: All aboard the UPMC Magee-Womens Express in North Central Pa.

The first gifts of the holiday season have begun to arrive at UPMC Magee-Womens facilities in North Central Pa., and this year, we're celebrating in the theme of "The Polar Express."

Babies and their families received crocheted pajama nightcaps, handmade and donated by UPMC employees, a special UPMC Magee-Womens onesie featuring imagery from the story and a special visit from UPMC in North Central Pa.'s mascot, Will M. Sport.

"Every year around the holidays, we look forward to welcoming newborns in a very celebratory way," said Brenda Terry-Manchester, director, Women's Services, UPMC in North Central Pa. "It's a special time of year and we're blessed to have the opportunity to share these moments with them. Our team at the UPMC Magee-Womens Williamsport Birthplace helps deliver joy, with our goal of enriching every birth experience as much as possible for families. It's so heartwarming to see that the staff have decked the halls out to the nines, donned their holiday sweaters, shirts and hats, and do whatever they can to create a welcoming environment while providing the highest level of compassionate care."
