The Tiadaghton Forest Firefighters Association (TFFA) recently received an emergency medical bag from Susquehanna Regional EMS (SREMS), UPMC in North Central Pa.'s prehospital team.
"This organization is a fully self-funded nonprofit that responds to wildfires across the Commonwealth," said Mark Trueman, senior manager, UPMC Prehospital Services in North Central Pa., and deputy chief, SREMS. "They often operate in some of the most challenging and remote environments where medical support may take time to arrive, and we're happy to empower their response, provide resources for caring for those in need, and support them in any way we can."
