UPMC Williamsport doctor reaches 1,000 robotic surgeries

Tim Judge, M.D., General Surgery, UPMC Williamsport, recently performed his 1,000th robotic surgery, marking a major milestone in his commitment to advancing minimally invasive care in north central Pennsylvania. “Reaching 1,000 robotic surgeries is very exciting for us at UPMC,” Judge said. “We are lucky to have such dedicated and experienced teams for this. Robotics has been a game-changer in our ability to provide less invasive surgery, and we look forward to building on this by always striving to provide the least invasive and safest procedures for our patients.” Judge specializes in robotic and laparoscopic approaches to abdominal procedures, including inguinal, ventral, umbilical, and incisional hernias. The robotic platform allows for fewer incisions, shorter recovery times, and less postoperative pain for patients.
