UPMC Orthopaedic Care hosted its second annual Joint Replacement Reunion Walk, bringing together joint replacement patients, families, and care teams to celebrate recovery, connection, and the community built through each patient's journey. The event offered patients and their families an opportunity to reconnect with the surgeons, nurses, therapists, and support teams who helped them return to the activities they love, while also meeting others who have experienced similar challenges and milestones.
"This walk is a meaningful reminder that joint replacement is about more than restoring movement -- it is about helping people return to their families, their routines, and the communities they love," said John Bailey, M.D., UPMC Orthopaedic Care in Williamsport. "We are honored when patients choose UPMC for their care, and we are proud to celebrate their progress alongside them. This event gives us the chance to walk together, reconnect, and recognize the strength of every patient who has taken steps toward a healthier, more active life."
