BRING YOUR OWN
KAYAK PADDLE
WHERE: Little Pine State Park
WHEN: Friday, Sept. 15, 1 p.m.
NOTES: During this program there will be a brief introduction to kayaking as well as a tour of Little Pine Reservoir. The history of the area as well as the flora and fauna will be topics of discussion. All participants are asked to bring their own kayaks (kayaks must have a PFBC Boat registration or State Park Launch Permit), a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket and whistle.
All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. The program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new state or community guidelines. People interested should meet at the boat launch.
WALK IN PENN’S
WOODS DAY

NOTES: A Walk in Penn’s Woods is a statewide coordinated event by the Pennsylvania Forestry Association. It encourages people across Pennsylvania to visit and learn about the forests that enhance our well-being.
Forests are always working for us, providing recreation, wildlife habitat, beauty, improved water quality, clean air, wood products, carbon storage, and more.Join Rider Park Manager, Sara Street, on a hike of a portion of Cheryl’s Trail and the new Green Trail while learning about how the forests enhance our well-being.
We will visit a new vista overlooking Loyalsock Creek and Doe Pen Vista.
