NOTES: Bird the Lycoming Audubon Bluebird Trail while monitoring nest boxes. Learn about the Bluebirds, their calls, nests, habitat, and how they raise their young. LYCOMING AUDUBON: BIRDING FOR FAMILIES AT CANFIELD ISLAND

WHERE: Riverfront Park Pavilion in Loyalsock

WHEN: Saturday, June 1 at 9 a.m.

NOTES: Join the Lycoming Audubon Society for a bird walk intended for kids, parents and grandparents. We will take a leisurely, easy Saturday morning stroll around Canfield Island where we will enjoy birds settling in for the season, appreciate the diversified landscape, walk through a quiet woodland and, of course, view the Susquehanna River for waterfowl.

We will stop and chat not only about birds, butterflies and wildflowers, but some local history.

WHERE: Meet at the Williamsport River Walk parking lot by the dam to carpool

WHEN: Satuday, June 8 at 8 a.m.

NOTES: Join the Lycoming Audubon Society to see purple martins at an Amish farm that has set up specific birdhouses for purple martins called condominiums. The program is free and open to the public.
