Outdoor community calendar for week of Oct. 21

AUDUBON EVENT:

CHAPTER MEETING

WHERE: Taber Museum (858 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport)

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

NOTES: Join the Lycoming Audubon Society for an evening featuring Ron Beach’s artork “Birds in Art.” His passion for the outdoors and 20 years of service with the Pennsylvania Game Commission have more than a little influence on the subject matter he paints, capturing the attention of art collectors throughout the United States.

Many of his paintings have been published as limited-edition art prints, a number of which are sold out and on the secondary market.

His art has graced the covers of magazines, calendars and greeting cards. He was twice selected Arts of the Year by Ducks Unlimited and his art was selected as a sponsor print for the Ruffed Grouse Society.

Beach’s work has raised thousands of dollars for many conservation efforts and non-profit organizations. His paintings are known for thoughtful composition, richly detailed landscapes and accurately portrayed wildlife.
