18 charged with various crimes
Eighteen people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:
â€¢ Jacob Probst, 22, of 21 E. New Road, Linden; city police; burglary, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property and public drunkenness for allegedly breaking into Wegmans, 201 William St., about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday and stealing $29 worth of merchandise; he was apprehended outside the store, which was closed at the time; jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
â€¢ Motorist Tara Martin, 35, of 929 Mary St.; state police; accidents involving death or personal injury while not licensed, damage to unattended property (hit-run), endangering the welfare of two children and driving without a license following a one-car crash in the 5100 block of Route 15 in Clinton Township late Monday night; two juveniles, including an infant, suffered injuries in the crash; Martin allegedly walked a mile with the minors, to another adult’s home and then eventually went to her home, police said; jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
â€¢ David Bacon, 58, of 91 O’dell Road, Muncy; state police; simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking his wife Rita in the face at the couple’s Fairfield Township home on Dec. 26; released on $7,500 bail.
â€¢ George Holley, 48, of 832 W. Third St.; two sets of city police charges stemming from two separate incidents at the home of girlfriend Althenia Smith at 670 Wildwood Blvd.; the latest occurred about 6 a.m. on Dec. 24 when he allegedly broke into the house and terrorized a teenage girl with a knife; he fled the scene, but was later apprehended and charged with burglary, felony trespassing and simple assault, he was denied bail in this case; at the time of the break-in, Holley was already out on $25,000 bail in another case in which police charged him with terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly sending several threatening text messages to Smith in mid-November; some of the texts were “I’ll kill you first, that’s my word” and “My life is over and yours is too;” he also allegedly threw rocks at her home, police said.
â€¢ Kadar Gates-Davis, 27, of Philadelphia; Old Lycoming Township police; possession of seven pills of ecstasy without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia in the township on Dec. 12; jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
â€¢ Sharif Jones, 27, of 815 Hepburn St.; city police; possession with intent to deliver an ounce of marijuana and related offenses at Washington Boulevard and Mulberry Street on Nov. 23; jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
â€¢ Lawrence Davis, 41, of Williamsport; state police; possession with intent to deliver 39 ecstasy pills and possession of seven grams of cocaine at Old Montoursville and Greevy roads in Loyalsock Township on Oct. 27; jailed in lieu of $90,000 bail.
â€¢ Amanda Marie Long, 38, of 1025 Lower Bodines Road, Trout Run; state police; theft by deception for allegedly misusing $85 Andrew Casale gave her to buy him a health insurance police in mid-October; police allege Long never purchased the policy; the incident occurred in Lewis Township; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
â€¢ Shane Fairfax, 32, and Tierra Lyons, 21, both of 12 Terrace Lane; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver 14 grams of spice, conspiracy and related offenses in the 2000 block of Newberry Street in the city on Oct. 15; both jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail each.
â€¢ Motorist Jesse Fox, 36, of 1234 Vine Ave.; Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office; DUI in the 100 block of Market Street in South Williamsport on Oct. 5; his blood-alcohol content level was .21; released on $5,000 bail.
â€¢ Motorist Logan Vonstein, 18, of 203 Walnut St., Montoursville; state police; DUI of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Carey Hill Road and Back Street in Upper Fairfield Township on Aug. 31; released on $5,000 bail.
â€¢ Motorist Ryan Snyder, 26, 104 Laurel Run Circle; state police; DUI, driving with a suspended license and careless driving on Route 15 in the city on Aug. 3; released on $3,500 bail.
â€¢ Motorist Kenneth Kreger, 24, of 330 Hastings St., South Williamsport; South Williamsport police; fleeing police and reckless driving after he sped from an police officer on his motorcycle at East Southern Avenue and Hastings Street on Aug. 2; released on $10,000 bail.
â€¢ Chad Reichenbach, 49, of Millville; state police; contraband and possession of a controlled substance (not identified in court papers) following an incident on June 20 when he was committed to the Lycoming County Prison on another matter; initially jailed in lieu of an additional $10,000 bail, but now free on bail.
â€¢ Motorist Adam Sullivan, 27, of 1730 Loyalsock Drive; state police; DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving and speeding following a crash in the 400 block of Clayton Avenue in Loyalsock Township on Aug. 22; his blood-alcohol content level was .22; released on $5,000 bail.
â€¢ Cody Short, 41, of 21 Short Drive, Trout Run; state Fish and Boat Commission; one misdemeanor count of serious unlawful take for allegedly having six timber rattlesnakes and six timber rattlesnake tails during closed season in the 2700 block of Cogan House Road in Cogan House Township in late May; he also allegedly had in his possession three or more times the daily limit of fish on one day; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
â€¢ Richard Bergman Jr., 19, of 5957 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station; the state Game Commission; illegal possession or transport of an antlerless deer and a four-point white tailed buck out of season as well possessing deer without a valid hunting license in Hepburn Township between Oct. 1 and Nov. 20, 2018; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
