State police handle several accidents in the region

In one of several accidents investigated by state police, Angela Hilton, 25, of Athens, and a passenger in her car, Libby Jones, 36, of Troy, were treated at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center for injuries they suffered when their vehicle and a pickup truck driven by Thomas Brookover, of Ulster, were involved in a crash at Route 220 and Lime Bluff Road in Wolf Township about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

No other details of the crash were provided.

Mark Butters, 55, of South Williamsport, was treated at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center for injuries he suffered when his Mazda struck a tree on Route 15 in Armstrong Township about 7:45 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Curtis Twigg, of Trout Run, and a passenger in his pickup truck, Curtin Twigg Jr., also of Trout Run, were treated at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for injuries they suffered when their pickup truck struck an embankment several times before overturning and landing upright on Route 973 East in Eldred Township about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Jesse McPeek, 21, of Williamsport, and a passenger in his SUV, Jillian Nottingham, 18, also of Williamsport were treated at a hospital for injuries they suffered when their vehicle and a pickup truck driven by Austin Hulsizer, of Allenwood, collided on Route 15 in Armstrong Township about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, police said. Following the collision, the SUV overturned, police said.

A 16-year-old Jersey Shore girl and her 21-year-old passenger, Colleen Mattison, of Arnot, were treated at a hospital for injuries suffered when their car went off the road and struck a tree on Route 184 in Cogan House Township about 2 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Pedestrian John Czap, 58, of Williamsport, was treated at the hospital for injuries he suffered when he was struck by an SUV driven by Thomas Smith, also of Williamsport, on River Avenue, just north of East Third Street, in Loyalsock Township about 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 10, police said.

Thomas Edwartoski, 68, of Montoursville, was treated at a hospital for injuries he suffered when his SUV struck an embankment and overturned on Warrensville Road in Loyalsock Township about 7:10 p.m. Feb. 10, police said.

Trisha Brown, 23, of Canton, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital after her car struck an embankment and overturned on Route 14, just north of Dry Run Road, in McIntyre Township on Feb 1, police said last week in a news release.
