Officer injured in two-vehicle crash
Responding to an emergency call, a city patrolman suffered minor injuries when the marked cruiser he was driving, above, and a Subaru Crosstrek collided at Fourth and Market streets about 7:40 p.m. Monday, city police said. The officer was traveling north on Market Street and a woman driving the Subaru was heading west on Fourth Street when they collided. The officer was taken by ambulance to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center as a precautionary measure. The woman declined treatment. Her identity and that of the officer were not released as the investigation into the crash continued. It was unknown if the officer had his cruiser’s emergency lights and siren activated at the time.
