McIntyre Township man allegedly drove tractor after drinking
Allen Jean, 22, of 777 Langdon Road, had a BAC of 0.10% when he was driving a new Kubota Tractor LA340 southbound on Route 14 north of Langdon Road, according to Trooper Andrew Dalkiewicz.
"Jean advised that he had some beers with his buddies and decided to take the new tractor for a ride," Dalkiewicz wrote in an affidavit.
Jean is charged with DUI and careless driving, and was sent a summons to appear at the Old Lycoming Township Police Department.
Man arrested for allegedly assaulting woman
Kalvin Ali Sampson, 29, of 1715 Blaine St., Apartment 2, allegedly assaulted and harassed a Loyalsock woman the afternoon of Dec. 19, state police said. Sampson allegedly put his hand around the woman's neck, pushed her onto the couch and struck her with a straw broom twice, according to Trooper Robert Jacobs. Sampson posted the $25,000 bail set by Judge William Solomon. He is scheduled to appear before Judge Gary Whiteman Dec. 28 for a preliminary hearing.
Muncy man allegedly crashed car, fled officer
A Muncy man allegedly crashed a borrowed car after its return date, carried marijuana in the backseat, and failed to stop for a state trooper all while under the influence of drugs, according to state police.
Trooper Kevin Bencsics attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2006 black Pontiac G6, which did not have its headlights on, July 20 at around 10:30 p.m. The car, driven by Brandon Stevenson, 31, of 508 Pepper St., accelerated and led Bencsics on a brief chase down Memorial Avenue onto Maple Street before crashing into a parked car, Bencsics said in an affidavit.
Stevenson allegedly tried to run, but was soon apprehended by police, who searched his car, according to the affidavit. Bencsics said there was a dufflebag behind the driver's seat containing two glass jars of marijuana and a marijuana grinder.
The affidavit alleged Stevenson submitted to a blood draw, and had THC, cocaine and Benzoylecgonine in his system at the time of the incident. Stevenson admitted to Bencsics he had taken Adderall before operating the vehicle, the affidavit said.
The Pontiac Stevenson was driving had been reported to city police as stolen. Stevenson allegedly borrowed the car and did not return it at the agreed upon time
Stevenson was arraigned by Judge Aaron Biichle Wednesday for driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, disregard of a traffic lane, careless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, unsafe driving, driving under the influence and unauthorized use of motor vehicles. He was released on $35,000 bail.
Woman charged with DUI
A woman allegedly driving under the influence rolled her vehicle in the 1800 block of Lycoming Creek Road at around 7 p.m. Monday night, said Sgt. Robert Cochran of the Old Lycoming Township Police Department. Kim Transeau, 54, allegedly refused sobriety tests. Transeau had no passengers in her 1998 Jeep Cherokee at the time of the crash and was charged with driving under the influence, Cochran said.
