Police: Customer flashed gun when asked about mask

Jackson Middlesworth, 49, of 982 Horn Hill Road, Hughesville, allegedly threatened two minors with a gun when they asked him to wear a mask at TGI Fridays, state police said in an affidavit.

When Middlesworth entered TGI Fridays at 1840 E. Third St. around 1:30 p.m. on July 25, one of the minors asked him if he needed a mask, according to an affidavit written by Trooper Troy Croak.

"I don't think you want me to wear one," Middlesworth allegedly replied while lifting his shirt to expose a firearm, the affidavit said. Croak said the minors sat Middlesworth at a table to avoid confrontation and a TGI Fridays manager called the police.

In the affidavit, Croak said Middlesworth admitted to exposing his firearm to the girls. Croak also said Middlesworth had a valid gun license and "knew the police would be called regarding this incident."

Middlesworth is charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He waived his preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge Gary Whitman and is free on $5,000 bail.
