Several injured in recent accidents

Travis Klinger, 34, of Old Lycoming Township, was treated at UPMC Williamsport for injuries he suffered when he was run over by a trailer in the parking lot of the Cogan Station Market, 3725 Lycoming Creek Road, about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, township police said.

Earl Smith, of Williamsport, driving a pickup truck that was hauling a trailer, had minutes ago pulled into the lot to get gas, police said. As he started to pull away from the gas pumps, he did not see Klinger, who was walking between his truck and the trailer, police said. Klinger was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

In another crash, two people ended up going to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital to be treated for injuries after cars driven by a 17-year-old Jersey Shore area girl and a woman collided at Allegheny Avenue and Wylie Street in Jersey Shore about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Tiadaghton Valley Region police.

The teen was treated at the hospital for an ankle injury, police said. A 20-year-old man waiting at the intersection on his bicycle was treated for a laceration to his arm after he was hit be debris from the collision, police said. The identities of those involved in the incident were not released.

In another crash, Misty Barto, 41, of Muncy, was treated at UPMC Muncy for injuries she suffered when her Jeep struck an embankment and overturned multiple times on Route 405, about 1.5 miles west of Muncy, in Clinton Township about 5 p.m. on May 30, state police said.

In another crash, Tiffany Gross, 40, of Bloomsburg, was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, to be treated for serious injuries she suffered when her motorcycle upset on Route 442 in Moreland Township about 10:15 a.m. on May 23, state police said. She has since been discharged.

Faye Chessman, 79, of Hughesville, was treated at UPMC Williamsport injuries she suffered when her Toyota Primus and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Mark Finck, of Montgomery, collided on East Third Street at the entrance to Interstate 180 West in Loyalsock Township about 4 p.m. on May 20, state police said this week.

After the collision, Chessman’s car and a Subaru Forester driven by Diane Schlee, of Williamsport, collided, police said.
