A city man and his pregnant girlfriend both landed in the Lycoming County Prison following a confrontation Wednesday afternoon with a constable and Lycoming Township police officer outside the office of District Judge William Solomon on Lycoming Creek Road, according to court records.

Capree Tyler Elliot, 30, of 661 Rose St., apartment 3, was apparently up set that his girlfriend, Bobbie George, was being placed in prison on a bench warrant about 2 p.m., township police said.

The bench warrant was already in place when a constable picked her up in the city and brought her first to the judge’s office to set up payment termination hearing because she had outstanding fines and two other district judge’s office. Once a date for the hearing was scheduled, George was taken out of the office, but she became more irate and and started yelling, according to an affidavit.

Elliot, who also present, was ordered to stay inside the building, but he refused and a confrontation between him and the constable ensued as Elliot attempted to intervene with officers who were handcuffing the woman.

Elliot was soon taken before Solomon and arraigned on charged of obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail. George’s address and date of birth were not available Wednesday night.
