Boy injured in fall from upper window recovering

After being hospitalized this week, a 4-year-old boy who was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a fall from a second-story window is recovering at home, Old Lycoming Township police said.

While reaching for a toy, the child accidentally fell from an upper window at his home in the 2000 block of Mill Lane about 12:50 p.m. and landed on a concrete slab, police said.

In the apartment at the time was the child’s father, who was busy tending to one of two other children in the home, police said. The boy was rushed to UPMC Williamsport and then transferred to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was treated for a fractured skull, police said. The boy has since been discharged.
