When the woman walked into the Lycoming Regional police station in Old Lycoming Township about 4:30 a.m. on March 8, she was "crying and visibly shaking," according to an affidavit. She reported that her boyfriend, Jake Copertino, 24, of 1843 Shumbat Lane, apartment 2, "struck her in the head and neck" in their apartment, police alleged in the court document. Arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle on a single count of simple assault, Copertino was jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail. The woman, who told police her head "really hurt," was treated at UPMC Williamsport for her injuries, the affidavit stated.
In another domestic disturbance, Justin Lee Dagostino, 26, of 73 Schmouder Drive, Trout Run, faces charges of terroristic threats and harassment after he told his wife "I'm going to (expletive) you up and kill you" about 2:30 a.m. on March 3, state police alleged. Following his arraignment Thursday morning before District Judge William Solomon, Dagostino was released on $25,000 bail.
