At 3:30 p.m. on May 15, Charles Demarco, 28, of Emerson, N.J., was arrested following a traffic accident involving his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado.
During questioning by state police, Demarco stated that he was coming from his sister's house, where he had consumed three beers prior to driving, police allege.
He had glassy, bloodshot eyes, and the odor of alcohol on his breath, according to an affidavit.
Demarco failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .08.
He was charged with DUI, a summary offense, and waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on bail.
In another case, at 2 a.m. on March 9, Jaslynn Dunlap, 36, of 2500 Federal Ave., apt. 338, was stopped by state police after a check of the registration on her 2019 Toyota Highlander to be expired due to canceled insurance.
During questioning, Dunlap had bloodshot eyes, stating she was coming from The Bar on Market, and admitted to having consumed three Tequila Sunrises, police allege.
She failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of 0.13.
Dunlap was charged with DUI, two summary offenses, waived her preliminary hearing, and was released on bail.
In another case, at 7 p.m. on May 16, Drew Lomison, 47, of 312 Jerome Ave., was stopped by Montoursville police after they observed his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro traveling at a high rate of speed near Superior Plus Propane in Montoursville. Police further witnessed Lomison using the turn only lane several times to pass vehicles in front of him.
Police initially attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 200 block of Broad Street, but Lomison continued to drive, running a red light at Broad and Montour streets, according to an affidavit. Lomison continued for one block after police activated their emergency sirens. The vehicle then stopped after making a right turn onto the 10 block of South Arch Street.
Lomison had the odor of alcohol on his breath, and admitted to having one beer and one shot prior to driving, police allege.
He failed a field sobriety test, and refused lab work, though tested positive for the presence of alcohol on a preliminary breath test.
Lomison was charged with DUI, four summary offenses, waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, on May 29, Anthony Tomasic, 25, of 2314 W. Fourth St. was arrested by Lycoming Regional Police after his 1996 Honda Accord left the roadway, almost striking a residence at 20 Round Hill Road.
During questioning, Tomasic admitted to having four rum and Cokes at the Finish Line, stating that as he approached the 20 block, a vehicle was driving very fast behind him, and when he reached the curve, he lost control, police allege.
A passenger from the vehicle related to police that as they were coming up Round Hill Road, that an oncoming vehicle swerved at them, at which point Tomasic lost control of the vehicle and crashed, court documents state.
After speaking with Tomasic a second time, his story matched up with his passenger's.
Tomasic failed a field sobriety test, and had a BAC of .16.
He was charged with DUI, a summary offense, waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 12:30 a.m. on Feb, 16, Veyda Peters, 19, of 10 Hillside Road, Millville, was stopped by state police after they observed the registration light on her 2014 Nissan Sentra was inoperable.
Peters had bloodshot eyes with dilated pupils, and slow, deliberate speech, police allege.
Peters failed a field sobriety test, and lab tests were positive for the presence of THC.
She was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, a summary offense, waived her preliminary hearing, and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 5 a.m. on March 10, Julius Hoffman, 24, of 502 High St., was stopped by Montoursville Police, after they observed his 2001 Subaru Forester to have an inoperable headlight and brake light.
Hoffman produced a photo I.D., informing police that his driver's license was currently under suspension, according to an affidavit.
Hoffman had red, glassy eyes, slurred speech, and a smell of alcohol was detected from the vehicle, police allege. He admitted to having a beer or two prior to driving, court documents state.
Attempts to complete a field sobriety test failed, due to Hoffman's inability to follow the directions given.
He had a BAC of .11.
Hoffman was charged with DUI, waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on $5,000 bail.
