State police identify Clarion man killed in Friday crash on Route 14; a Hughesville man is in critical condition after a crash on I-180

The driver of the Honda Civic who was killed Friday afternoon in a violent crash with a camper at Route 14 and Field Station Road has been identified as Tyler Parks, 29, of Clarion, Clarion County, said state police.
For an unknown reason, Parks, traveling south on Route 14, went left of center, hitting the side of a pickup truck before plowing into a camper the truck was pulling, police said. A South Williamsport couple in the truck was not hurt, police said.
Concerning another crash in the region, Anthony Hurst, 36, of Hughesville, is in critical condition at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was taken for serious injuries he suffered when he lost control of his 1997 Honda CRV in the westbound lanes of Interstate 180 in Northumberland County about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, state police said. Hurst was ejected from the vehicle as it hit an embankment and overturned, police said. There was no information on his medical condition Monday night. Three passengers in the Honda, including Jacqueline Neron, 36, also of Hughesville, and three minors ages 5 to 10 all suffered minor injuries, police said.
