NEU nabs city man after drug buy
On Oct. 5, Harold Rainer, 39, of 1204 Isabella St., was stopped by the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit, after they witnessed him allegedly leaving a known drug house in the area of Second and Maynard streets.
Rainer admitted to possessing a racquetball sized amount of methamphetamine, which was later recovered by police during a consensual search of the vehicle, court documents state.
Rainer was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver.
Woman arrested for vandalism, passing bad checks
At 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 18, Lindsey Bliss, 38, was arrested after she allegedly vandalized a truck belonging to Robert Eckard, of 3421 Lycoming Creek Road.
Bliss allegedly ripped wires out of the truck's engine, then poured gasoline on the engine while smoking a cigarette and threatening to blow it up, police said.
Upon making contact with Bliss, she ignored officer's orders to stop, additionally resisting arrest, including striking an officer with her elbow, stating that it would take all of them to put her in handcuffs, according to an affidavit.
During a search, a methamphetamine pipe was found on Bliss.
Bliss was charged with recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
Bliss previously faced charges, just days prior on Oct. 14, of receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking after she allegedly stole a Blink surveillance camera from a residence in Lycoming Township.
Georgia resident allegedly sold drugs to confidential informant
On March 22, Josiah Gotschall, 39, of Georgia, was arrested by Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit after he allegedly purchased drugs from a known drug house.
Gotschall was in the house for five minutes, and after leaving the residence was stopped by city police after he crossed the double yellow line at High and Locust streets, according to an affidavit.
He refused a consent to search, and a canine unit alerted police to the vehicle, police allege.
During a warrant-granted search, police discovered marijuana and approximately .06 grams of cocaine.
Gotschall was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
City man arrested for multiple drug sales
On Aug. 8, Jordan Artley, 22, of 2405 W. Fourth St., was arrested after he allegedly met with confidential informants twice a week apart, selling them $220 worth of cocaine.
Artley was charged with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, and was remanded to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000.
