New Jersey man charged with recklessly endangering
Patrick McNasby, 63, of Mantua, New Jersey, was locked up on charges of recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he was seen on video "erratically waving a loaded rifle on Oregon Hill Road" in Pine Township on Sunday night, court records filed by state police alleged. Two motorists driving through the area reported seeing McNasby "shirtless and wearing camouflage pants, waving his arms and a long gun" about 6 p.m. The drivers said McNasby did not fire any rounds or point the rifle at them, but a video caught him waving the firearm "erratically," police said. When taken into custody, McNasby admitted that earlier he "had discharged many rounds in an unknown direction until the rifle jammed," according to an affidavit. Following his arraignment before District Gary Whiteman, he was committed to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of 15,000 bail.
Man faces assault-related charges
Marice Fudge, 51, of 813 Park Place, has waived his preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking a female juvenile with a belt in the right leg in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue on June 1, city police said in an affidavit filed at the office of Christian Frey. Already charged in the same case with the same offenses was Samantha Linn Baney, 34, of 815 Clark St., police said, adding that Baney told the girl to tell others that the injury was caused by her falling off her bike, and to "stick to that story." Baney also has since waived her preliminary hearing. Both she and Fudge are free on $5,000 bail each.
Four charged with drug offenses in separate cases
Kyle Michael Bonyak, 30, of 1648 Scott St., has been charged with six counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and three counts of illegal use of a communication device for his alleged involvement in three sales of methamphetamine to an informant or undercover state trooper in the city between Oct. 23 and Nov. 9, according to state police. Following his arraignment last week before District District Judge Aaron Biichle, Bonyak was jailed in lieu of $85,000 bail.
Reginald Jonathan Morton, 37, of 700 W. Edwin St., apartment 1K, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance for his alleged involvement in the sale of crack cocaine to another individual for $100 in Morton's apartment on May 8, according to the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit. He has waived his preliminary hearing before Frey and is free on bail.
Sheena Eisweth, 38, of 1958 Lycoming Creek Road, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for having two pills, believed to be buprenorphine on Carmella Avenue in Old Lycoming Township on Aug. 30, state police alleged in court papers. Following testimony presented at her preliminary hearing before District Judge William Solomon, she was held for court on the charges and released on $5,000 bail.
Kaiden Deseau, 19, of 2267 Church St., South Williamsport, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia at East Third Street and Russell Avenue in Loyalsock Township on July 29, according to state police. He has waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $5,000 bail.
Contractor faces felony charges
The day after contractor Shane Polcyn received a down payment check for $2,389 from a 76-year-old woman to install a fence outside her home in the 2700 block of Four Mile Drive in Loyalsock Township on Sept. 21, 2022, the 54-year-old owner of Susquehanna Construction cashed the check, according to a state police affidavit. However, as of Nov. 1, a fence still has not been put up. Polcyn, of New Columbia, now faces charges of theft by deception, deceptive business practices and failing to perform services after receiving an advanced payment, all felonies, police said. Following his recent arraignment before District Judge William Solomon, Polcyn was released on $15,000 bail.
Shoplifting charge lodged against Old Lycoming Township woman
Juay Denise Mincy, 42, of 2000 Mill Lane, apartment 29, has been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting for allegedly stealing $108 worth of merchandise from the Weis Market, 1916 Lycoming Creek Road, between July and September, using her own shopper's card each time, according to Lycoming Regional police. This was her second shoplifting offense. She has since waived her preliminary hearing before Solomon and is free on $5,000 bail.
