In a plea agreement before District Judge William Solomon, Leo Anthony Taddeo pled guilty to a summary charge of disorderly conduct after Lycoming Regional police withdrew felony charges of burglary, criminal mischief and trespassing. The charges stemmed from Taddeo, 38, of 357 Woodland Ave., allegedly causing in excess of $5,000 damage to his girlfriend's home on Lehman Drive in Hepburn Township after the two attended a Christmas party on Dec. 9, court records stated. Taddeo made arrangements to pay $1,268 in fines and costs.
In another case, Russell Clifton Smith, 41, of 676 Grier St., pled guilty before District Judge Christian Frey to a single misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance after the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit dropped felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone. The charges stemmed from him allegedly selling 10 oxycontin pills to another person on Aug. 24. Smith made arrangements to pay $760 in fines and court costs.
In another matter, all criminal charges against Shalton Ramon Bryant, 36, of 519 Eighth Ave., were dropped by city police after they decided they did not have the evidence to pursue the case. Bryant was arrested last month on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having five ounces of crack cocaine in his home, court records stated.
In another case, city police also dropped charges of simple assault and harassment against Tyrone Anthony Frazier, 33, of 2524 W. Fourth St., after the alleged victim in the case failed to appear at Frazier's preliminary hearing. The charges stemmed from an alleged incident in Frazier's home on Dec. 10.
