Man arrested after repeatedly trespassing at store
Shortly after 1 p.m. on March 16, city police responded to a Nittany Mart at 2300 W. Fourth St. when a man identified as 66-year-old Horace Fuller refused to leave the business.
Fuller kept his back turned toward employees when he entered the store, maintaining that position as he moved about inside, court documents said.
Upon realizing the man was indeed Fuller, the associate informed him he was not to be on the premises and told him to leave, to which Fuller replied, "I do what I want," according to an affidavit. The conversation continued for a short time until he left the store.
Fuller had been told several times that he is not allowed in the store but had continued to visit anyway, the employee said, according to police.
He was spotted walking away from the store, and when confronted by police, refused to give his name, and was identified by his state ID card.
Fuller was arraigned on a count of defiant trespass by District Judge Christian Frey, and remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Southside man busted on more drug charges
Joseph Pontius, 37, of 505 Southern Ave., apartment 2, South Williamsport, has been hit with more drug charges following a traffic stop just before 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 27.
During the stop Pontius, whose license was under suspension, gave city police consent to search his vehicle, at which point they discovered a small plastic bag containing a gram of crack cocaine, according to court documents.
Upon searching Pontius, police uncovered a tab of acid wrapped in aluminum foil.
Pontius was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on $10,000 bail. He was previously charged with conspiracy to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance for conspiring with another man to sell 7 grams of bath salts to an informant on Route 44 near Lehman Drive in Nippenose Township on Jan. 16, 2023, court records state.
