In a plea agreement, Daniel Harry Taylor pled guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct following a disturbance at the Weis Market, 305 River Ave., in which he became verbally aggressive, asking employees at the deli counter, "Which one of you is going to die tonight," it was alleged in a state police affidavit. Upset about how long he had to wait to get service around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 2, Taylor, 59, of 1015 Louisa St., told one of the employees "You (expletive), I will push you into that rotary oven behind you," the affidavit stated. After he pled guilty before District William Solomon, police dropped charges of terroristic threats and harassment. Taylor made arrangements to pay $196 in fines and court costs.
In another case brought before Solomon, Shawn Laronn Todd, 50, of 2575 Lycoming Creek Road, pled guilty to simple assault and harassment, charges stemming from a domestic disturbance at his home in which he slapped a woman in the face and struck her twice in the left leg with a piece of wood on Feb. 10 and 11, according to state police. He made arrangements to pay $391 in fines and court costs.
In a case handled by District Judge Aaron Biichle, Paul Steven Sample, 35, of Mill Hall, pled guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct after city police agreed to drop a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure. The chargers stemmed from Sample exposing his bottom at West Third and William streets about 7:45 a.m. last Aug. 12, according to court records. Sample's buttocks was covered with feces, police said. He made arrangements to pay $168 in fines and court costs.
In another case, Biichle ruled there was insufficient evidence and dismissed charges of simple assault and terroristic threats against Vincent Riley Peterson, 65, of 700 Sterling Ave. These charges were filed by city police and stemmed from Peterson allegedly threatening to kill a woman during a disturbance at his home on March 16.
In another city police case, all charges have been dropped against Tamachia Carter, 50, of 428 Glenwood Ave., according to court records. The charges stemmed from an incident in the 600 block of Sixth Avenue on Feb. 23 in which Carter allegedly stabbed a man with a screwdriver, police said.
