Taking a call from a confidential informant at 3 p.m. on Feb. 29, 46 year old Damien Washington, of 1125 Market St., Apt. 2 arranged to sell the informant $250 worth of methamphetamine, the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit alleged in court documents.
Following the phone call, agents transported the informant to the area of W. Third and Walnut streets, where the informant entered a silver Nissan Sentra being driven by Washington. The vehicle then traveled to the intersection with Center Street, where the informant exited and subsequently handed over a plastic bag containing one ounce of methamphetamine, in exchange for $250 in pre-recorded police money.
Washington was arraigned on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance by District Judge William Solomon, and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
In another case, after allegedly selling crack cocaine to a confidential informant on three separate occasions throughout January, Ronald Morton, 41, of410 ½ Louisa St., was charged with three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility by the Lycoming County District Attorney's Office, according to an affidavit.
The alleged drug deals occurred on Jan. 2, 10 and 25, all at a laundry mat on Grier Street, just south of W. Fourth Street, with Morton providing .50 grams of the drug in exchange for $50 each time.
Arraigned on three charges each of delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility before District Judge Aaron Biichle, Morton waived his preliminary hearing.
In another case, two city residents were each charged with delivery of a controlled substance after a confidential informant arranged to purchase 10 bags of fentanyl for $80.
Steven "Stevie" Sanso, 40, of 2406 Linn St., was contacted by the informant on Feb 26 about buying the drugs, and was instructed to meet him at a gas station on W. Fourth St. in Newberry, authorities allege.
Upon meeting up, Sanso told the informant that they had to first pick up 20 year old Olivia Sharon Ulmer, of 2414 W. Fourth St., relating that, "this dude that she goes and sees, he's got everything, Ice, Soft, everything you want and it's all good," according to an affidavit filed by the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
The pair then picked up Ulmer in the area of Third and Arch streets, before driving to Third and Walnut streets, where she made contact with a third man known to police for recent fentanyl deliveries, court documents said.
After being handed $80 in pre-recorded police funds, Ulmer exited the vehicle, and made the transaction with the third individual, returning to the vehicle with the drugs.
Ulmer was arraigned by District Judge Aaron Biichle, and waived her preliminary hearing, while Sanso, arraigned by District Judge Kirsten Gardner, was released on $50,000 bail.
