Biker charged with felony fleeing
Motorcyclist Christian Alexa Krishner, 21, of Watsontown, will face further court action on a felony charge of fleeing law enforcement plus five summary violations after he waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Christian Frey.
The charges stem from an incident when Krishner refused to stop for a state trooper attempting to stop him for not having a license plate and failing to use his turn signal in the area of West Third and Locust streets around 12:30 p.m. on April 29, according to an affidavit. The trooper pursued Krishner onto Interstate 180 West, but ended his involvement as he watched him "weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed," placing other motorists in danger, the affidavit stated.
The trooper was able to determine the motorcyclist's identity through other means, police said. Krishner is free on $15,000 bail.
Former plant manager faces felony theft-related charges
During much of 2022, Michael Neff, while plant manager at Big Paving Rock on Odell Road in Fairfield Township, stole an estimated $14,750, pocketing much of the money "to pay for a fishing trip he had been planning in October of that year," state police alleged in an affidavit. Investigators said that Neff, 51, of Lock Haven, sold in excess of 100 "loads of asphalt millings to local contractors," and kept the cash from those loads for himself, it was alleged.
Arraigned before District Judge Gary Whiteman on felony charges of theft, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds and illegal use of a communication device, Neff, who was terminated by the company in December 2022, was recently held on those offenses following his preliminary hearing. He is free on $15,000 bail.
