Picture Rocks man jailed following domestic disturbance
When Hughesville police arrived at the Picture Rocks home of Robert Bilicki at 615 Foust Hill Road to handle a domestic disturbance about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, they were met at the door by his wife who had "a lot of blood covering the left side of her face and on the front of her shirt," it was stated in an affidavit. It was alleged that Bilicki, 69, shoved her against either a door or a wall during an argument, causing a head injury that resulted in "large pools of blood on her sweatpants. She also had blood on both of her palms, a cut on her left arm, and heavy bleeding and exposed skin from the top of her skull," the court document stated.
The wife was treated at an area hospital after Bilicki was taken into custody at the house without incident, police said. He refused to answer any questions, but he did claim that his wife "threw a cup of alcohol at me, and I overreacted," police said. Following his arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey on charges of simple assault and harassment, Bilicki was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Montgomery man charged with stealing wallet from Cummings Township bar
Blaine A, Cochran, 52, of 25 N. Main St., Montgomery, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property after stealing John Vrabel's wallet from the bar at the Happy Acres Campground Bar in Cummings Township about 12:15 a.m. on June 2 after Vrabel momentarily left the wallet 2at the bar while taking a telephone call, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit. While the wallet was later found on the ground outside the bar near a puddle, an estimated $130 that Vrabel said was in it was missing, police said. Cochran has waived his preliminary hearing on the charges and is free on $20,000 bail set by District Judge Denise Dieter.
