Eight days before Yaa-sir Jennings-Cornelius called someone at the Montoursville Area High School and allegedly threatened to "shoot up" the place, a video of the 18-year-old man was posted on Snapchat that showed him "pointing a silver-over-black handgun at the screen," according to an affidavit filed by a detective assigned to the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit.

Investigators have since learned that the gun Jennings-Cornelius was holding in the Sept. 24 video was one of several firearms stolen in a burglary at the Blued Barrel Gun Shop on Railroad Street in Hughesville overnight Sept. 20, the court document stated.

On the afternoon of Oct. 3, Jennings-Cornelius, of 812 Third Ave., was taken into custody at 646 Second Ave. in Williamsport on a Montoursville police warrant charging him with terroristic threats and harassment.

The charges stemmed from him calling someone at the high school at 700 Mulberry St. on Oct. 2 and threatening to "shoot up" the school, police alleged in the affidavit. With the assistance of the narcotics unit, city police nabbed the teen hiding in a room inside the Second Avenue home. He was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

On Friday, Jennings-Cornelius, who also goes by "Jassir," was brought before District Judge William Solomon and arraigned on one felony count of receiving stolen property.Jennings-Cornelius admitted that the gun was "provided to him by a known juvenile," who has since been arrested by state police for his involvement in the burglary at the Hughesville gunshot.

When the juvenile was arrested on Sept. 25, he had in his possession the same firearm Jennings-Cornelius was allegedly seen holding in the Sept. 24 video, according to investigators.

No information has been released about the juvenile due to his age.

Following his arraignment on the one additional felony charge, Jennings-Cornelius was recommitted to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of an additional $50,000 bail.
