Another juvenile victim comes forward in ongoing sex abuse case
After local media reported in mid-April that Shane William Kimball had been charged with stalking several youths and having inappropriate contact with at least one of them in Muncy Township, Montoursville police soon learned that the 37-year-old convicted sex offender had victimized a 12-year-old male child in their jurisdiction, it was alleged in a court document filed at the office of District Judge Gary Whiteman.
A relative of the 12-year-old came forward and told borough police of an incident in which Kimball was the same man who touched her relation in a store on March 29, it was alleged in an affidavit.
When police questioned the juvenile, he stated that the man pictured in a photograph that accompanied the news item about Kimball’s arrest was the same person who touched him.
Kimball, of 760 W. Third St., has been jailed on no bail since his arrest earlier this year. Borough police have charged him with indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and stalking. He waived his preliminary last week and remains incarcerated in lieu of an additional $25,000 bail in this case.
