Just a little more than three months after she was arrested on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge, Tamara Jane Scampone, who was out on bail, was arrested yet again on Sunday afternoon after she was caught removing price tags from merchandise at the Goodwill Store, 621 Hepburn St,, Williamsport, city police alleged. When an assistant manager confronted her, Scampone, who also goes by Tamara Boyles, told him "I owned this place," it was stated in an affidavit. Scampone had already fled the store when police arrived, but she was taken into custody nearby, police said. Following her arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Scampone was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail. Scampone, 57, who is homeless, was charged by Lycoming Regional police with shoplifting back on March 24, when she walked out of the 7-11 convenience store at 1601 Dewey Ave. with merchandise, telling a clerk "Everything was free today," according to a court document.
