Sex offender charged with failing to register new address

Columbia County Prison inmate Bautista Lee Bonett, a convicted sex offender since 1991, has been charged by state police with failure to register his new address with them when he moved to the 6900 block of Route 15 in Clinton Township in mid-February, according to an affidavit filed at the office of District Judge Kirsten Gardner. Incarcerated on another criminal matter, Bonett, 61, was convicted of rape in 1991, the affidavit stated.
