Carsontown church open
CARSONTOWN – Carsontown Community Church will begin summer services at 9:30 a.m. The nondenominational church has been serving the Little Pine Creek area for more than 100 years and is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The church is along Little Pine Creek Road (Route 4001), 3 miles southwest of English Center or 8 miles northeast of Waterville, in the Village of Carsontown.

Saving energy workshop
New Covenant Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St., will hold workshops from 3-4:30 and 6:30-8 p.m. to help people learn how their congregation can be more energy efficient. The workshop is free and is being presented by leaders of Pennsylvania Interfaith Power and Light. Between workshops there will be a tour of New Covenant to see the energy-saving modifications they have made. Light refreshments also will be available at that time.
