Four-day volunteer event aims to aid worldwide

MUNCY — When you give two hours of your time, you will help make an impact on thousands of lives for the sake of the gospel — do more to reach more!

That’s the message shared by Experience Missions, a project working to bridge Christian ministries and community churches — this year, with a massive packing event that aims to aid Christian ministries like Samaritan’s Purse, Voice of the Martyrs, Kids Around the World and others.

Missions Expo 2020 will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Muncy, 602 S. Market St., divided across 10 sessions from this Wednesday through Saturday.

Community members from various ministries are asked to lend a hand to pack 100,000 meals for hungry people in Haiti, organize 600 family medical packs for persecuted Christians in the Middle East, assemble 225 action packs for Syrian refugees and much more.

With the hopes of garnering at least 800 volunteers over the four-day stretch, Experience Ministries intends to strictly enforce local, state and federal COVID-19 regulations.

Volunteers will be asked to mask up and temperatures will be checked prior to entry to ensure everyone’s safety.
