Lamar Lighthouse dedicates new building

Lamar Lighthouse camp will dedicate its new building, The Gathering Place, with a potluck meal at 4:45 p.m., a service at 6:30 p.m., and live music by Avenue Trio at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 10. An ice cream social will follow. All are welcome. The Gathering Place is located two miles south of Interstate 80 exit 173.

Family Camp will continue Monday through July 17 with programs for all ages from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Evening services will be held at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.

Additionally, Gospel Concerts will be held each Sunday at 7 p.m. through Sept. 18, starting with Recreation on July 17. Concerts are free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Blueberry festival

Garman Lutheran Church, 1779 Sulphur Run Road, Pine Creek Township, will hold its blueberry festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16. The festival will include homemade baked goods, crafts, trash to treasure and basket raffles. Sandwich platters and desserts will be available for lunch.

Vacation Bible school

Oval United Methodist Church, 6796 S. Route 44, Jersey Shore, will hold its vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, through Thursday, July 28. The camp is for children ages 4 through seventh grade and is themed “Journey with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to celebrate ‘Joy to the World’ that Jesus was born.”

Stabler’s Grove 86th camp meeting

The Stabler’s Grove 86th camp meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. July 21 through 24 at Pine Run Bible Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden. Evangelist Paul Boxmeyer will speak on “How will it all end? The four themes of revelation.” Music will be provided by Pat and Harlan Bower on Thursday, Carl and Opal Schlappi on Friday, Williamsport Assembly of God Praise Team on Saturday and Winnie Schweikart on Sunday. A fellowship meal will be held on Saturday from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in the church social hall. Call 570-998-9033 for more information.
