“People pass on, but their memory lives on in our hearts,” says Dr. Grace Shu. Shu was chief adviser on international affairs to the city of Williamsport for several administrations and remembers the tenure of Mayor Jessie Bloom. “Jessie and I did the Sister Cities for city of Williamsport and the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Republic of China. … For a business trip, I also arranged Mayor Jessie Bloom to give speech to 2,000 people at the World Trade Center in New York City.”
