Long Beans Coffee Co. offers variety of pick-me-ups

Everyone needs a good pick me up sometimes, and for many, that perfect cup of coffee is just the thing to do the trick, and for those reaching for a cup of joe to get their morning started, Long Beans Coffee Co. might be right up their alley.
'I've always just loved coffee," said owner and operator Riley Fischer.
That love would only intensify when her husband, Zander, was stationed in Spokane, Wash. for three years.
"They have so many little coffee shops everywhere, and I just fell in love with coffee even more," she said.
Upon returning to Pennsylvania, Fischer's aunt and uncle, Chris and Jen Gramlich, owners of a local HVAC company, provided financial backing, and Long Beans Coffee was launched on June 7, 2025.
Much of the inspiration around Long Beans comes from Fischer's two dachshunds, Milo and Maeve.
"One of my slogans is 'coffee and dachshunds' because the entire company is based on my two dachshunds, and who doesn't love coffee, energy drinks and dogs," she said.
Two of Fischer's signature drinks are even named after her fur babies.
"I have the Milo and the Maeve, and those ones are just 100% their personality in a drink," she said.
"The Milo is coconut and almond, and it's sort of like an almond joy, and that's just his personality to a T. And the Maeve is vanilla, white chocolate and strawberry. It's just very sweet, and that's exactly how she is," Fischer said.
Another signature drink is the Long Bean.
"It's espresso, chocolate milk, caramel and toasted marshmallow," Fischer said, adding her use of chocolate milk in place of regular whole milk is what keeps customers coming back for what has become the most popular signature drink since opening day.
But Fischer doesn't just stop at coffee offerings.
"There's so many people who don't like coffee or they aren't an iced latte person," she said.
"Our signature energy drinks are called Zoomies, and those are Red Bull based," Fischer said.
"We also just started doing what we call a clean bean. It's made with Lotus, which is a clean energy concentrate, basically, that you can mix with lemonade or club soda, so it's like a cleaner version of our zoomies," she explained.
Long Beans also offers hot, iced and chai teas, lemonade and more.
With fall in full swing, Long Beans' seasonal drinks have been strong sellers.
"Everybody loves their pumpkin drinks, so we have a lot of pumpkin spice, but we try to change up the flavor so it's not just pumpkin," Fischer said.
"We have a pumpkin cheesecake latte and pumpkin marshmallow," she said.
Fischer has also revived a fan favorite from last year, called the Apple Bark Crisp, an apple and cinnamon latte.
"That one has been super popular and I always like to have different options because even like myself, you get tired of pumpkin real quick," she said.
In fact, Fischer said Long Beans typically has new drink specials each month.
Everything they serve comes from Fischer's own recipes, which she developed at the coffee bar in her home.
In August, Long Beans Coffee Co. made its first evolution with a drive-thru located off of the Gamble Farm Inn, located at 311 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
"It kind of just fell into our lap. There was another coffee shop in there that moved to a different location, and then they reached out to us and asked if this is something we would be willing to see how it works, and it's been going really well for us so far," Fischer said, adding that both humans and canines are welcome.
"Whenever people bring their dogs through the drive-thru or the trailer, we love giving out pup cups. It definitely makes our day," she said.
Fischer said that a physical location was always in the cards.
"The truck kind of got us going and gives us that option to move around and go to different events and places, and moving the trailer around to all these different places definitely gives more exposure, but a physical location where somebody can come in, sit down and drink their coffee is the main goal," she said.
"We are in the works of opening a building in Mill Hall that's going to be an actual storefront where we have seating inside and a drive-through," Fischer revealed.
For the time being, the truck side of their business will have a home at the Millbrook Plaza in Mill Hall.
"Since we started, we were going there on the weekends, and the first Sunday of every month, there's a car show in the same parking lot, and I reached out to them when it started getting colder last year, and asked if maybe they would be open to us being set up there all the time, because whenever you have all that equipment and everything, it gets pretty dangerous trying to drive with on icy or snowy roads, and I just ended up staying there, even when it started to get warmer out, because we had so many regulars coming to the trailer every day," Fischer said.
"We're stationary there for now, but the plan is whenever we do get our brick and mortar, the trailer will start going to different locations like the hospital in Williamsport, and different events," she said.
Fischer said much of her success lies in the fact that Long Beans has such a wide variety of offerings.
"We have a lot of people who are maybe just passing through the area for the first time, and they don't really know our special drinks, but we always have a rotating selection of drinks. We always have so many different flavors and sweetness profiles, I feel like there's something for everybody here," Fischer said.
