Hines is candidate for 84th District House

LINDEN — David Hines, of Linden, has announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for the State House seat in the 84th Legislative District.

Hines, a longtime resident of the area, Hines is a veteran of working with all levels of government, and has 20 years of experience working with local, county, state and federal entities.

As Planning and Zoning Director with the Central Keystone Council of Governments located in Lewisburg, he closely works with several municipalities within Lycoming County and the surrounding areas. He has experience working within codes and the law while serving and helping the people of this region all while coordinating with different township and borough officials.

He said his understanding of the law and many years of codes experience best allow him to navigate and work within municipalities planning code, subdivisions/land development, floodplain management, storm water management and conservation management. He has introduced amendments, modified resolutions and ordinances/laws while serving on and working on multiple boards and planning commissions. Hines has also forged lasting and valuable relationships with many township and borough officials.

Hines has served as a board member and president for the Jersey Shore School Board, studied Business Administration at Pennsylvania College of Technology, participated in the Dale Carnegie Leadership training course and Leadership Lycoming.

Hines is a sitting Committeeman on the Lycoming County Republican Committee. Hines is a lifelong member of the NRA. He attends First United Methodist Church in Williamsport and was a volunteer firefighter for over 13 years.

He and his wife Amy live in Linden and have been married for 31 years.
