City Council is expected to look tonight at the first reading of an ordinance providing for residency requirements for city employees.
Currently, the city has no residency requirement in an ordinance, according to Councilwoman Bonnie Katz.
In other parts of the agenda, council is expected to review a resolution authorizing a structured settlement negotiation between the city and labor lawyers.
Additionally, council is expected to review an agreement between the city and Pennsylvania College of Technology for use of students at the Veterans Memorial Park.
Currently, construction trades students work there and the park commission wanted to see if electrical trades students could assist in lighting and sign lighting work.
Finally, council is expected to review a resolution authorizing the signing of a proposed agreement for transit advertising of River Valley Transit and city assets with Vector Media, of Harrisburg and New York City.
