According to a news release, recycling will be collected at the Lycoming Mall parking lot, 300 Lycoming Mall Circle, Muncy Township and Jersey Shore Area High School parking lot, 701 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore.
The news release asks the public to wear masks while accessing these sites. Staff will be there to direct traffic and help but will not handle any materials.
There will be no collections at Kmart or Penn College parking lots during these times. Containers will only be accessible during these times and the news release warns that any materials left at the site after hours will be considered littering and illegal dumping.
Acceptable recyclable materials include cardboard, which must be broken down; clear, brown and green glass bottles and jars; plastic bottles and jars; tin, steel and aluminum cans and newspaper, office paper, magazines, chipboard, and junk mail. Plastic bags are not acceptable in the recycling containers and the news release asks the public to empty such bags at the collection sites and to take the plastic bags home.
