MUNCY VALLEY -- Two Lycoming County residents are recovering from critical injuries they suffered 10 days ago when their pickup truck and a tractor-trailer truck collided head-on at Route 220 and Champion Hill Road in Davidson Township, state police said Monday afternoon.

Andrew Taylor, 30, of Muncy, and a passenger, Afton Digilarmo, 31, of Hughesville, suffered injuries and were taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following the crash that occurred about 2:50 a.m. on June 6, Master Trooper Tom Kelly, the public information officer at the Wyoming barracks, said. A hospital spokeswoman said Monday the two were no longer at the facility.

Taylor's truck crossed the centerline and crashed into an oncoming tractor-trailer, whose driver was treated at UMPC Muncy for minor injuries, Kelly said. The trucker's identity was not available.

An accident reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation into the crash, Kelly said.

Volunteer firefighters from Muncy Valley, Eagles Mere and Laporte, along with UPMC paramedics responded to the accident.
