Eric Trump to visit Cogan Station for fundraiser
A Lycoming County Republican Committee fundraiser next month will feature a recognizable and prominent name directly tied to President Donald Trump.
Eric Trump, son of the president and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, will come to the county Saturday, Sept. 19.
Former Congressman Tom Marino will host the event at his home in Cogan Station.
“It’s exciting to have him come,
obviously,” County Republican Committee Chairman Vincent Matteo said.
Matteo said Trump’s appearance will energize Republicans for the presidential election and for local party candidates running for state offices.
The event, to be held outside, will be used as a fundraiser for the local party.
Matteo said efforts to bring Eric Trump to Lycoming County had been in the works for some time.
“It’s a presidential year and he is one of the president’s people. It took a couple of weeks or maybe a month to work out a date,” he said.
Registration and other information about the event is on the Lycoming County Republican Committee Facebook page at www.facebook.com/lcrcgop
