Regatta, rally show support for Trump

Hundreds of voters brought their families to the West Branch of the Susquehanna River Sunday for a boat regatta in support of President Donald Trump’s bid for reelection.

The event, promoted and chronicled through the “Susquehanna River Trump Rally and Boat Regatta” Facebook page, also included motorcyclists cruising the roads between Nisbet, South Williamsport and Montgomery, among other communities.

Bridgid Redos, who attended the rally, said seeing the boaters and motorcyclists “stand together for Trump” was the best part of the day.

“We are so proud of all the patriots that are coming out to support our country and our amazing president,” a Facebook post by the event’s organizers said ahead of the rally.

The Lycoming County Republican Committee also expressed its appreciation for Jeff Stroehmann and other organizers, also by Facebook, for making the day “truly fantastic.”

The event was part of series of similar boat regattas, including one on the Monongahela River south of Pittsburgh and one on the Potomac River outside Washington, D.C.

The Lycoming County event ended with live music and fireworks at a farm near Linden.
