Montoursville Area High School students will move to remote instruction starting today and lasting through the end of the year, with in-school learning expected to resume Jan. 4, 2021, district officials announced on social media.
Athletic events and practices will be suspended until students return to in-person instruction.
Students without internet connectivity at home may reserve a seat at the high school by calling the office.
Meal pickups will be available starting today through Dec. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, in the high school lobby. Meals are free to children under in the district.
The decision comes after officials learned that at least four positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified at the high school.
