The Lycoming County Planning Commission elected Joe Reighard as chairman on Thursday.
Reighard replaces Carl Nolan who was elected secretary.
The board also elected Brett Taylor as vice chairman. He previously served as secretary.
In other matters, it was agreed to begin the search for a replacement for Michael Sherman who has resigned from the board.
The person appointed to fill the vacancy will serve out the remainder of Sherman's term set to expire at the end of the year.
Planning Commission Executive Director Shannon Rossman announced that Alyssa Henry is resigning her job as hazard reduction planner to take a job with the state Department of Environmental Protection.
"We will be sorry to lose her," Rossman said.
Joshua Billings, subdivision and land development supervisor, told the board he will be leaving his position in April after 20 years of service with the county.
The board recommended amendments for approval to ordinances covering home-based businesses, personal storage areas and other issues. The amendments now go to the county commissioners for approval.
The board approved a subdivision request from Joseph Musto.
The 39.8-acre Gamble Township property along Wallis Run Road is to be divided into several lots.
The board discussed reviewing planning commission bylaws.
Rossman noted the bylaws were last amended in 2018.
