MUNCY – Volunteer firefighters and paramedics rushed to the 2100 block of John Brady Drive, just north of the borough, for a very serious fiery crash on the bridge over Muncy Creek about 6:40 p.m. Friday.
At least three people were reported injured, including one child, according to reports from the scene.
Two medical helicopters were requested, but one was soon called off.
The incoming helicopter – which landed at UPMC Muncy – was for a pediatric patient who was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to the hospital.
Ambulances from Muncy Area, Pennsdale and Hughesville were dispatched to the scene.
The crash in Muncy Creek Township was expected to close the road for a considerable time so avoid the area.
State police are leading the investigation.
The incident commander at the scene reported the car fire was extinguished at 7 p.m.
Another crash victim was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport.
