Williamsport police are investigating an accident in which two male adults were struck by a passenger car on High Street, just east of Fourth Avenue.
The two were hit by a westbound vehicle about 10:40 Sunday night, police confirmed.
A 24-year-old male and a 35-year-old male, both with severe injuries, were quickly transported to UPMC Susquehanna Health, just four blocks away. The 24-year-old male later succumbed to his injuries, according to a city police news release.
The driver of the car was being questioned. The car's windshield was shattered, and the front of the vehicle sustained minor damage from the impact.
City firefighters and state police assisted with this accident.
