Kinley Jewelers seeing boon in business

Upon entering Kinley Jewelers' downtown Williamsport store, it becomes apparent they are more than just a jewelry store. In addition to the display cases lined with dazzling jewels, there are clocks, chandeliers, crystal frames, jewelry boxes and so much more. Perhaps that is why more and more customers keep returning to the family-owned business.

"2020 was the busiest year ever for us," said Debbie Kinley, co-owner of the business.

That is saying a lot since the jewelry store will be celebrating their 75th anniversary next year. Kinley attributes their longevity to the family's dedication to their customers.

"We are able to give each customer that personal touch and one-on-one attention. With the years that we've been here, we have a lot of experience under our belt," explained Kinley.

In addition to having a diverse inventory, the store also repairs watches, jewelry and grandfather clocks. "That's a big deal for people because we will go to their homes to repair their clocks," said Kinley.

As for their jewelry inventory, Kinley has baubles that run the gamut from watches, to engagement rings to estate jewelry. Lately, lab grown diamonds have been selling quite well due to the fact that they are conflict free and grown above ground, eliminating the need for dangerous mining underground.

Kinley said, "Diamonds and wedding bands are the biggest part of our business. Bridal season is every day."
