At his arraignment Tuesday night on felony firearm charges, South Williamsport resident Javon B. Graham told District Judge Denise Dieter that he "had been shot five times" while living in Philadelphia and that he "did not want to go back to Philly," according to court records.
"Every single bullet is (still) in my body," Graham, 26, of 1736 Riverside Drive, told Dieter. Graham, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to his conviction of other crimes, was brought before the judge to face South Williamsport police charges of illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property.
These charges were filed after a stolen handgun was found Monday afternoon in a first aid bag inside a clothes closet in the home where Graham has been staying for the last several months, court records stated. The gun was stolen last summer from the city, police said. The gun was recovered after Graham's county probation officer arrived to do a home visit, police said.
As Dieter was explaining the charges, Graham blurted out about being "shot five times" in Philadelphia. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison on a probation violation Monday and then recommitted in lieu of $75,000 following his arraignment.
